Because it's Nova’s Birthday today, we’re releasing our first beta. So ya, were back again, and we hope this time there won’t be too much drama. We have removed everything that wasn’t mine or Nova’s, and we have continued from there.

    Here are some screens…

    Title Screen:

    Other Zones (SYZ, LZ, SBZ):

Since last time, we have extended the layouts, added custom loops and tubes, added dynamic palettes for the acts, completed the GHZ layout, and have even edited the GHZ boss.

Here is a video of GHZ for people who don’t want to download the beta.

And finally, here is our first beta release.

    Sonic 1 Pixel Perfect

Credit to Puto and Psycosk8r for GHZ and MZ music. C&C is welcome as always, but can we forget the troubles that we had before, and not trash this topic with it please.

    Ah, I see.

I thought that Nova changed Angel Island to Angle Island in S3K: Master Edition, and I figured that it was a tribute or something along those lines.

    Copypasta from SSMB:

That is a very good hack you've made even though you used RapidShare. Comments:

Angel Lake: Whoa, that is some good shit, those loops & the boss entry was excellent.

Desert: Best Desert Zone made, beats Dust Hill, Sandopolis & that Desert zone in Sonic 1: NEW STUFZ.

Spring Yard: Not a lot done except that loop that was made, flawless.

Maze: It was fine, good art but nothing beats Misty Maze. Also that tube at the start was fun.

Scrap Brain: Again, not a lot except the loop & some colour changes, very good.

Other stuff: Sonic 2 Level Select ported in, very good. Music was fine although Angel Lake's slows down with speed shoes. Consider having a speed shoes track for that, can't have slowed down music, at least it isn't another music port of Azure Lake, gets boring every time. The credits were good, note that the Angel Lake before PRESENTED BY SEGA, Sonic got stuck & was spining/standing throughout.

Art was fine, except that the Sonic CD art appears to be going in plenty of peoples hacks, also I've seen the edited Starpoll. Didn't you say there was an SCAA screen or was that part of the deletion. Overall this is a great hack to download & I'm looking forward to the next release as well as the deleted stuff that hopefully DNX & Thorn will get it in a hack in later time. Also, next time please to be not using RapidShare, use something like FileDen, no hassle just to download something. Thanks for the hack anyway.

What about just putting it as an attatchment to a post? That would work. No hassle. Plus, then only members from the communities you hosted it on can use it.

I love your twist on the "Ball and Chain" Robotnik Boss. That was a very unique fight ^_^

Oh, and Sephiroth, your new avatar is.........wow.

I think I actually stole it from JCFerggy....

    But that boss fight is.....

    Just...

    Wow.

Amazing how you managed to get it to do that.

But why does it take so many hits to beat him? I had to level select to get to the second level!

Which, by the way, has some pretty nifty art and music.

But the bit at the end of Marble 1 + 2 is pretty annoying.

Overall a good start to what could be a great hack.

Oh, I am so gonna host this... if you want me to, of course. After all, my offer from when you first started SCAA is still valid.

Also, that's a wonderful use of the dynamic palette system. I'm glad that a guide I wrote was able to help in a beautiful palette system.

Yeah, what was all that Straight Line Zone at the end, really annoying. Also at the end of act 2 where it faded out to Act 3 the boss music started to kick in.

    Beautiful.

Those night time stars in act 4 reminds me of the Mario All-Stars version of Super Mario Bros 2 (doki doki panic) night outdoor levels.

Not to mention those new loops. Can you land on the center portion?

Yes, you can go around the center like the things from SBZ, but they serve no purpose.

I like the circle in this loop, but two comments.

    1) Is the collision correct on it?

    2) I don't think it should be a full circle, seeming as it's not a full loop. It looks odd that way. You should make the bottom right of it a sharp (if you know what I mean).

Yes, the collision on the circle is correct. I can easily just remove it from that loop, and add it to the regular one that goes 360*, instead of only 270*.

    Update time.

I've been working on some new loops and tube ideas.

I have made a loop that is inside the wall, and I also have made a tube with 2 entrances.

If anyone has any suggestions to make these better, or any other ideas for different stuff, I'd really appreciate it.
