    Sonic Encore: SHC 2024 Update!
(If it didn't appear in this year's SHC trailer, there's a reason. I could have sworn I sent the clips but apparently they didn't show up lol)

It has been a while since there has been any movement on Encore. Originally this was to come out in mid-August but seeing that the SHC was coming up we decided to push it back to today.
But that extra time was enough to further polish this Encore Demo. Here is a list of what's new in this update:

    1. Sound adjustments were made. Now some sounds are corrected.
    2. The Mega PCM 2.0 has been integrated allowing the DAC to sound without being scratchy. This also opened the door to include PCM Music and limited Sonic voices (taken from Sonic CD) although they interrupt the DAC momentarily while playing.
    3. The Dropdash code was rewritten, it should now be much closer to what we have in Sonic Mania.
    4. Afterimage effect was added for Speed Shoes.
    5. Retouched and added some new Sonic sprites.
    6. New Marble Palette!
    Streamer Edition

Lately Youtube has not been happy with the music of the classic sonic games (this because of scammers or people who copyright the music). Causing in several cases parts without sound or music without copyright in videos.
For this and other reasons I have decided to release together an edition that removes the “most problematic” music that is in Encore (but not guaranteed to work 100%).

The contest entry is here if you want to take a look at it.

It's been a while of silence here.
After this year's SHC and receiving the air trophy (which I was told was an award for mediocrity or something like that), it was decided to further refine Sonic Encore

In the 2 months of silence, there has been a lot of progress on Sonic Encore. In order not to leave this thread so dead I decided to do:

Sonic Encore: Preview Screenshots The Third
    Black Friday Edition

There are several new features but I will focus on showing those that do not completely ruin the surprise of the next update that should arrive at Christmas.

    Title screen improvements:

Thanks to Carlos (Alegamer has other projects and can't take care of Encore) The title screen Sonic was redesigned. It should now be much closer to the gameplay Sonic.

    DropDash Improvements:

After changing several aspects of the code (especially the HUD to use the Sonic 2 system), we were able to successfully port the S1Fixed code and thus redesign the Dust code, and taking advantage of that we decided to make that small touch-up.

    HUD Changes:
This is a fairly small change, but the HUD sprites (specifically the numbers) have been tweaked a bit to give them better shading)

Other than that and code changes that aren't worth mentioning, there's not much else to see here.

I think I'll have to give you an explanation another day...
I guess I'll see you another day. Bye!
