    Sonic the Hedgehog - New lands 1

    ====================================================

    Do you remember a hack like "Sonic the Hedgehog - Lost lands 1?

    Of course! This hack originally grew out from a remix version of the earliest version of that hack. The remix was made by me. I made the

    remix because of the inspiration i got when seeing those zone titles.

    I was planning to release that aswell but instead i wanted to make a hack of my own out of that remix and since then it has come what it is now and of course, this doesnt have anything in common with the remix or that hack.

    ====================================================

    Previous versions & unreleased versions:

    Ver 1 - The wery first version of this hack.

    Ver 2 - Second version of the hack basically had first zone done.

    Download -> Sonic the Hedgehog ver4.bin

    Ver 5 - Had a bad attempt at the title screen palette.

    Download -> Sonic the Hedgehog ver5.bin

    Ver 6 - Version 6 amazingly ended up with 5 different variations. Some of them were patches or upgrades.I posted main version only.

    Download -> Sonic the Hedgehog ver6.bin

    Ver 7 - With ver 7, upside down boxes appeared and most of the green rocks act1 layout was in place.

    Download -> Sonic the Hedgehog ver7.bin

    Ver 8 - This was the 4th version released.

    Download -> Sonic the Hedgehog ver8.bin

    Ver 9 - Version 9 actually made it into the 6th annual hacking contest!

    Download -> Sonic the Hedgehog ver9 new.bin

    Ver 10 - This was the most recent release.

    Download -> Sonic the Hedgehog ver10.bin

    Ver 11 - This version was a rushed version because it didnt had much changes from the last.

    Download -> Sonic the Hedgehog ver11.bin

    Ver 12 - Yet to be released.i changed the level select font.

    This looks like really epic. New Layouts, new arts, new palette and I hope new ASM codes. <_<

    But one thing you coud fix, is the Iron Impact Act 3 palette. It looks like too much dark.

    EDIT: Link(s) are broken

    Well time for something worth bumping:

    i have been designing some art for this hack and i would like to hear your opinions weather it should be in or not.

    chess style art (future labyrinth zone):

    [IMG]

    this is something i made today, i call it rainbow road. i know there isnt much of it but still... (future star light):

    [IMG]

    This on the other hand is one of the earliest art i ever made and im proud of it (future scrap brain):

    [IMG]

    p.s. it seems that photobucket fucks with me... *grumble*

    but new art will still come for that act

    edit: update for rainbow road:

    edit 2:image fix

    [IMG]

    nice,eh ;)

    edit 3: you see that brownish block on the right and away from others? that was going to replace the yellow color but in the end i still went with yellow, so that particular block is free to use for all (and the palette of it).

    edit 4: There was also going to be a purple block and maybe a few other colors but i went with these four colors.

    if you want to use it, just ask permission (and give credit of course). Only to be seen on sonic research and sonic vegemite only.

    Ok get the megamix shit out of there. Sonik Sprite fails for sonic 1 sprite editing. Your layouts look confusing. Floating objects are a no no.

    @ Irixion : Only thing from megamix was, and ill say it again WAS the level select font, it has been changed a long time ago.

    Go play the newest version and enter the level select code (a+^v<>s).

    Im already working on the art for star light.

    I still havent figured out that SonMapEd, so just wait.

    Im redoing ghz layout also already, gonna make it more "flowy" and why not floating objects?

    @ Qjimbo : Meh...

    I've warned you once already about being a dick, and I'm not gonna warn you again. Next time I'll just ban you without saying a thing. I dunno whats got into you the last few months, but you're hardly the big shit when it comes to hacking, so why not have a little bit more respect for people starting out.

    FYI, I've been using that same level select font in my hacks since back in 2001, and will continue to do so, as will so many other people. It's a common shading technique on font, get over it.

    One I missed then, but the fact still stands. For the last few months on here and on retro he's been nothing but abusive. Just a reminder that shit like that isn't needed.

    As Qjimbo said it's old as fuck. Second of all, what I do on retro has no business here anyway. >_>. I'd rather have to say get megamix shits out of there than having the whole 'you're a fag for stealing things' drama start again. (Sonic 255)

    Maybe what you do on Retro has no business here, but the fact is you've been acting like a prick there and here

    And just for the record, he hasn't stole anything, its a very generic shading on the basic Sonic 1 level select font, which has been used countless times by myself and others. Does that mean that we all stole it off each other. Sort your fucking head out.
