Trouble when trying to log in from another device

    When I log in the forums from my phone or school PC, it says me "Error #2000 - You are not allowed to visit this community". What can it mean? No screenshots for now, so sorry.

    Bet you it's something to do with proxxy servers. Rarely, but from time to time when I'm on my work PC, when I try to reply to topics, I get, "Error - your IP address has been backlisted". It usually sorts itself out later on. You're case, not so sure.

    I've gotten messages saying I was blacklisted, too (they scared the shit out of me, I thought I was banned 0.o).

    I don't have a problem logging in at school.  I don't have a phone, so that's off the table for me.

    But...

    I could be wrong, but I think this site's been hacked.

    That's the error you get if your IP has been blacklisted. All blacklisted IPs are added directly from Stop Forum Spam. With the odd few added by me for the same reason Stop Forum Spam adds them. Seanie also has blacklisting code running on the server as well.

    And speaking of "Blacklisted", should I get Red here and fix this?

    Uhhhhhh... I think the current staff here is more than capable of dealing with blacklisted members.

    I get the feeling that blacklisting IPs are much more efficient then apprehending multiple sockpuppet accounts. The fact that other servers get in the way is just an artifact of a very important function of the internet.
