What exactly does the $F9 co-ordination flag do?

    You might want to be a bit more specific, what is the flag for/from? What directly are you referring to here?


    I'm going to make the assumption that you are referring to SMPS music, and specifically the Sonic 1 type, if this is not what you meant, then you have yourself to blame for not being specific...

    According to that, and I quote:

    Now, D1L/RR is basically to sum it up nicely, how quickly the channel has to fade the sound out when the key is off, the higher the value is, the quicker it will fade, having RR at F will fade the channel out on key off immediately. What this flag attempts to do is set FM 1's key off fade out rate to maximum, making it fade out immediately when the key is off, rather than at the rate the voice data had it set to.
