    Metropolis Zone on crack...

Sorry for double post, but can't quote stuff during editing post...

It took AGES to have this SEGA stuff hacking tool. Great job! I waited very long for this. Thank you.

Staff edit: Merged. Nothing's stopping you from clicking the quote button, and copying the stuff in the [(/)quote] tags.

I guess the only thing really proving that this isn't the PC version anymore is the X/Y buttons on the shift HUD.

That said, "Hedgehogs mod" and "SADX Heroes'" Sonic model, tested on hardware and working.
Screenshot-ed in Dolphin because I still have no capture card..

The art looks alright, if a bit simplistic, but the level layout looks way too linear.

Xernom still with the pillow shading, need to learn to take more time on these levels. You show screenshots of them way too early. Also I still see no slopes.

Horray it's no longer a mockup. I'm currently still doing the level layout in Construct at the moment, and I also need to make a few animations. I've also been trying to improve the controls from Sonic Construct Worlds DX.

    New palmtree sprite.

And I did changed the water color but, for some reason, it reverted back later. Strange.

Did you modify the palette cycle data to the new colors as well? It should be in the palettes folder. In Hivebrain 2005, it's "c_ghz.bin". (Dunno about Git)

Liking the new palmtree sprite, though!

Yes, I used the "Hivepal" to change it. It worked well but, later, after I restarted my PC, the colors simply got reverted to the original ones.

The problem is that Hivepal edits the ROM instead of the palette files in the disassembly itself. Every time you assemble a new ROM, the changes you made to the previous one will be averted. I would recommend loading the GHZ palette cycle file in your disassembly into the NewNeko Palette Editor and editing it there.

Actually, you can use Hivepal for split disassemblies as well. It can treat seperate palette files as ROMs as well.

    To the questions:
Q: It has some Layouts from original GHZ1.
    A: I already changed it.

    Q: Music is boring
A: It's a WIP SMPS, only the Ordinary Hill Act 1 Music is the finished one.

Q: Sprite Limit in Special Stage.
A: Already changed to prevent that.

Wait, how did you do that? Because I have exactly that problem on my Sonic 1 hack.

Bumper placed besides eachother is a nono. and the crystal placement could be better. The special stage you got there is flawed. and the music is a turnoff. I can tell who made it. Obj44 seems to be missing in areas of the zone you showed. So imo I think this was way to fucking early to show it off. I also think that you could place spikes better at start by having them in annother area. The ones on the loop is alright.

We know in early builds of Project Aspect, Hidden Palace (now Sacred Shrine) was a thing, and little more than a palette swap and slight graphical change of Scrambled Egg, with crystal springs, different floor, and crystal spikes. Now, I am going even further beyond. How does the ground and pipes look to you? I am sure every type of "chunk" shares the same number for each mappings set, so it shouldn't be too hard to determine which chunks should occupy what slot. I may write a guide on that in the future too.

Just a video of my WIP Sonic Chaos hack. I've only edited THZ's level layouts, and Special Stage 1. Tails can enter special stages, so Special Stage 1 needed a new layout. This hack is meant to make Sonic Chaos more difficult, as it's one of the easiest Sonic games I've ever played. Also Gigalopolis' palette has been edited, though it's not show cased in the video. (I'm thinking about changing it's palette again.) Also the speed shoes monitor icon needs to be changed, as it changes Sonic into Tails to help the player navigate through difficult level layouts. I might change that later though...
