Embedded youtube videos are now huge; they fill the entire screen. They're really annoying to scroll past now, and I see no point in them being so big if one can make them full screen, even if the embed area is small.

The button at the top of a topic that allowed the topic's creator to lock/unlock the topic is gone.

This double/triple posting is REALLY getting out of hand now.  And it's definitely not us.  I clicked "Submit Reply" once, and left it to process on its own accord, to find myself getting two posts made.  While I'm aware this is no-one's fault but Invision Power Services', is there any acknowledgement on this, or a known fix in progress?  I'm not sure if my first post was missed or something...

For me, I posted a response, and the first time it didn't save the post, so I click it again, and THEN the first post comes up, and so does the second one.

    EDIT: OH COME ON!

Welp, I just helped prove MarkeyJester's point.

Okay, after seeing the General Screenshot/Movie Thread and deleting 19 posts, I decided to look elsewhere for other double posts... but not seeing many (others were mainly because it was at their own fault).  Making me thing if the General Screenshot/Movie Thread might be the culprit.  To find out, I did 2 random off-topic posts here and here and got no double posts.  Then I tried the General Screenshot/Movie Thread and indeed got a double post.  Although, this all may be a huge coincidence.

Either way, there is not a lot I can do about it as Staff have very limited AdminCP privileges (it may not be a simple fix or able to be fixed via that way anyway, I am unsure).  I will see if I can spot OrdosAlpha sometime and make sure if he is aware of the issue as nothing has been said on this matter (that I am aware) but I have no doubt he's probably very busy with other things at this time.  I just hope you have patience with us.

If anyone can point/show me any other topics where this accidental double posts bug is becoming problematic (and I mean where several have double posted in a short amount of time), let us know here with a link.  Thanks!

Well, in the basic questions and answers topic, there was this by me, and a few posts above there was this by warr1or2. Not sure if other posts were already cleaned before. I think they (all of them, not only the 2 I just linked to) should just be deleted instead of trashed, anyway, since they were accidental for the most part, they don't serve a real purpose when trashed unlike posts which can be referenced to when talking about things which shouldn't be done.

Normally you would be right, but at the moment they're trashed instead of deleted to prove a purpose on how bad it can get (and in case Ordos has missed this so he can see how bad it is). After some confirmation, then they'd probably get deleted.

Ordos and I have spoken about this double post issue already about a week ago, but unfortunately it's out of our hands. Invision are aware of the bug and are apparently looking into it, so until something comes back from them we just have to persevere unfortunately.

While it may seem inconvenient, it will help us greatly if people can report the double posts to help us track them down faster without searching through multiple topics. Ordos may be able to shed some light on he progress of the bug fixing as he has access to the client side section of the invision forums, whereas I don't. In the meantime, we will do out best to keep on top of the double posts so try not to worry about it.

Haven't been on the Invision forums in a while. So, I don't know if this "issue" is being addressed. And I say "issue" because I haven't personally encountered it, but I'm aware of the fact that other members have. Invision have released ICS 4.0.7, and that fixes various shit. Well it claims to. I plan on attempting the 4.0.7 upgrade, but I may be better off just doing a "fresh" installation instead of upgrading. Why? Because of the failure that was my upgrade to 4.0.5.1. Reported the issue I was having on the Invision forums. Don't know if that's been fixed, or even loked into.

The status of a user seems to be broken.

For example, you hover over someone's name...

but when you go to the topic it says they're in...

I tried this multiple times to make sure it wasn't me, but the same thing happened.

You know, I think the double posts are caused by a timeout of some kind. Several seconds passed after I clicked on "submit reply" in my latest post in the General Screenshots topic (and yes, I clicked on it only once), so I guess that the forum software internally recognizes it as a timeout, and as a failsafe, it sends the post again. While this would be a good thing to do if the timeout is caused by a dropped connection or something, so the post wouldn't be lost, it's not appropriate if the timeout is caused by a buggy forum software, which is probably just too bloated and heavy on the server. You know how I can be sure not to make double posts? Right now I'm posting from Firefox 1.0.7 with javascript disabled (my usual configuration). The forum is forced not to use the fancy shit which slides the new post into place, but it rather refreshes the page as a whole, and it works fine. However, for my post in the General Screenshots topic, I had to use Chrome because I had to quote Stephen (and quotes don't work without javascript anymore), which caused the forum to do that useless "let's add the new post to the topic in real time" thing, being stuck in the middle of the process for just enough time to trigger the double post bug.

All of this is just a big guess but I don't think I'm far from the truth.

I am not sure why, but I never got any double posts here after the update, and I use chrome on my PC and my laptop, which are Win7 and Win8 respectively. And yes I have JS enabled, the posts slide into place as I post them. It is possible that I have low enough ping or fast enough connection to get server reply in time though, but then again with my laptop I get 80 ping to closest server in Tampere (which usually gives me best results on SpeedTest.net).

By the way, any chance to get this fixed? Today I received a private message, a notification which said I received a private message, AND an email which said I received a private message, this is ridiculous.

I just made a post, hitting reply only once, but after doing nothing for a while, it gave me this.

Even still, it double posted for me. Even if there was a way for users to delete their own posts, it would help immensely.

General screenshot thread?  It's the only one that does it.  If you get that message, you'll definitely have made a double post (not your fault).  I'm looking into it.

Not sure how the signature ignore function works, but whenever I 'ignore' a signature, it reappears if I refresh the page, navigate somewhere else, etc. Isn't this feature supposed to always block the signature until the user sets it back on?

The 'report user' button doesn't seem to be on users' profiles anymore.
