1.1 is the same thing as 1.0, but with a palette change and a couple chunks changed. The new IPZ palette is not really good. The white stands out and doesn't blend it. It also kind of hurts my eyes. With the new chunks, having a bottomless pit isn't good design for Sonic. Remember, this is Sonic, so the levels have to flow, unlike Mario. Sonic has to have levels that flow, it won't hurt to add platforming stuff in it, but don't overuse it, and please do not use bottomless pits, especially when the player won't know that it is a bottomless pit at the beginning, that is not good at all.

So keep these things in mind:

    - Palettes should blend in with each other, and not clash and stand out from the rest, if you ever change the art, this applies, it has to blend in, not stand out and clash from the rest, make it look natural to its environment.

    - Level design for Sonic games should flow, do not have bottomless pits if they are dumb traps, as that is a dick move. Have bottomless pits if they are shown to be bottomless pits, so the player knows that they should not go down there.

Hopefully you take my tips and put them into action, especially with the disassemblies I mentioned. Please take that time to learn around the disassemblies, so you can make a better hack, especially since with disassemblies, you can add new characters, moves, art, palettes, levels, etc. With ESE II, you can only change, not really add. With disassemblies, you can change, remove and add features and fix them up if you like.

Good luck with your hack, and learning disassembies if you are doing so, and please do not give up. I may seem hard at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's a snap!

(You know what, I'll make a big tutorial on 68000 assembly, disassemblies, the tools, etc. for you, so you can get started.)

Sonic Overload isn't going to come out of the W.I.P Phase....but I have started a new hack to continue the Overload Legacy!
