I agree, guys if you want to scare fellow hackers who are trying to progress and improve in hacking then be my guest. I don't think thats the kind of attitude in this forum though is it. Ok maybe hes not very good at the moment, but he is trying to improve and seems very determinied to prove you all wrong, you could learn something from that. Beandude, keep working and improving pratice and practice and practice, until you think that the hack has improved. Practice editing palettes, until you get palettes that work. Don't listen to these guys trying to put you down and kick you out, stand up and prove them all wrong. Work hard, and then come back and show them that you have improved. Don't let me down :angry:

 

If such attitude being exhibited in this thread was displayed to me as I learned ASM and how to hack sonic games, I would have probably never got as far as I have with it today. I mean I had a passion to learn but I also didn't receive put downs or anything, which would have just upset me and made me thing I probably shouldn't continue.


Point of that: Beandude you may still be new but you're also still learning, and don't stop learning just because you may not be as proficient as those who have been delving in sonic hacking for a few years. Just continue to learn and enjoy hacking, and who knows, you may be better than me some day.

Please note that the following screenshots are not of my current ROM, but rather of the S1 ROM that was hacked for this pallete. This is due to the fact that my level design on the SYZ in my hack is far from complete. If people like this pallete better, then the Zone's name will be changed from "Purple Palace Zone" to "Penthouse Park Zone"...

MUCH better than the last one, but I think a bit of the shading needs fixing. Good work though, never seen a Green SYZ before =P
