I'll be honest, I think it's great that you've experimented and applied it, my only issue is that it looks sorta odd and doesn't really fit.

    Good effort though.

If we're talking about the palm trees in the foreground scrolling effect, then I disagree with you, as I think it suits well. It's cool to see that in hacks. The only Sonic game I've seen it in (except from S1 beta) is Sonic 3 in AIZ, but it may be elsewhere.

Although, that's quite a big sized-video for the short demonstration; couldn't you of youtube'd it?

Hmm this looks iteresting, I like it in fact actually. Great job and nice deformation you got for your bg too. also I agree with Red that i would have been better to put it on youtube.

So, you're showing us a secret you aren't showing us, this is confusing and great.

Welllllllll.... Hopefully you'll understand in 7 days (maybe longer, it depends on how well you play it, and what you unlock).

    - The title screen BG is a placeholder, just don't ask

    - No, i don't have Cream data yet, it's just a profile pic only

    - "OMG DOUBLE SONIC", i was testing something on Tails (the object $02, i want to save rom space and time)

    - I know, I know... the level is too empty, i'll put more enemies (or more randomness) later.

    Wow, this looks promising!

Sounds and music are amazing, I especially love exploding and kicking enemy sfx, they give a brand new feel to the game.

As for the level, I wouldn't say it's too empty, maybe it's just lack of badniks in some places. Without HUD Sonics feel pretty lonely also.

I'm not sure what direction have you chosen for you hack, looking at these ponies, but either way I can't wait to play it. Awesome stuffs!

Very VERY exciting, some very cool stuff, the menus, the debug selection, the half complete (yet clean) transition! It's a real pleasure to see that you are making some major progress, keep up the cool work as always!

This little trick was also enveloped in Chemical Plant Zone as well. My guess is that he got the code from here and modified it.

It's a good effect, but it's bad implemented. I can see a palmtree going down between seconds 9 and 10 of the video.

Looking back at others quotes, I'm surprised no one as ever noticed that this effect is used for the girders in Star Light Zone.

Maybe there is coding from this would help to get the trees from moving position when you go past them?

My hack is nearly finished, and when it is, I'll have a new project I'll be working on, can anyone guess what it is?

Hm... couldn't be an emulator could it?(Don't ask me why I thought it). Though I would not know why, or maybe something to do with building a rom or disassembling it I'm not sure.

So this is a preview of a hack me and another member on SR are working on. And this isn't a mockup. :V

@ MJ Looks like a ROM compiler, something you could make homebrew games with. I can't wait to see it when it's done. :D
