    Wrong way around, dear.

    Code:
    incbin "art.bin"
    even
    incbin "more art.bin"
    even

The way nineko said to do it has no effect I'm guessing?

    (Sorry for double post)

I added the peelout sprites to sonics art files using SonMapEd. Saved all the files, built the rom, and then loaded the game and Crashes (White Screen).

Right, it's good that I started my post with "if I still remember something about hacking" :p

Well, just put "even" everywhere, it won't hurt :p

When does it crash? Before you press start to start the game, or when it's entering the level?

If that's really the only change you made and it crashes when the level is loading, I'd say it's probably a file in a wrong format (wrong compression, wrong dplc version, etc).

It just loads a white screen at start up.

My bad, it's for s2, not sure how the sprite on the sega screen is working, maybe it's related?

I think that has something to do with amount of tiles in Sonic's art file...pretty sure you align Sonic's uncompressed art file, I don't remember though.

That only fixes the in game sprites not the sega screen sonic running sprites

Yeah I don't have any idea why that happens or how to fix it so I put "even" by the bincluded sega screen sonic sprites so now sonic doesn't show up on the sega screen so problem solved don't have to be bothered by a part you see for 2 seconds.

I would assume it's because it mapped to use S2 sprites and you're using S3 sprites.

I remember having the same problem with my hack way back when, I took the lazy route and copied back Sonic's S2 running sprites to be used for the intro.

You could edit the intro to use the S3 sprites, but they are upsized in realtime, so loading the bigger art into SonMapEd is kinda tricky.

How did you get the intro to use Sonics S2 sprites again instead of the S3 running sprites. I mean If I changed sonics running sprites to sonic 3 ones wouldn't it make S2 running sprites none existent?

So Ive been trying to get WZ objects too load and Ive added the objects list and PLC list for WZ and all that other stuff but still the badniks that ive added to the list and the WZ project file are invisible.

EDIT: Video example of problems explained also boss problems address a couple posts ago

EDIT: Bosses work now for WZ and HPZ, WZ objects art still wont load.

Woah, man. I don't know about Wood Zone Act 1...That act looks waaaaay too long and extremely difficult. I'm scared at the mere thought of playing it.

Jokes aside, everything you've changed/added seems okay at best, nothing really spectacular. Those graphical glitches definitly need tending to, but that's pretty obvious. Have you considered tweaking the boss code to have it do more than just speed it up? Not too bad for a beginner's work, though I'd probably save showing off any work until you either have it polished up for demonstration purposes or unless you need help with fixing something.

Definitely come up with a brand new layout for HPZ. The crazy amounts of platforms you've added is ridiculous and horrible level design. Of course the main issue is that 85% of the level is exactly from the original. Be creative, make it a maze, or a something, but please, create a whole new layout. I mean otherwise, you've got about half the stuff in there to work.

p.s. If you want to fix the orbs, I suggest taking a look at object 11.

(really? I would have thought the orbs would just be animated patterns, not an object, but I've never looked into it.)

Anyway, when you make layouts you should make sure not to make impossible paths, like if you were to fall during all those crumbling platforms.

    Actually, I'm wrong. It's obj71 =P

Yeah, some of it is handled by the animate patterns, but some of it is handled by objects. For example, the oil that trickles down onto the slides on OOZ is handled by object 1C.
