    4 things added into Sonic 1 on Bird Hill Island that werent in the last demo

    1. New title screen and menu options
    SONIC THE HEDGEHOG ON BIRD HILL ISLAND 2_20_2025 7_26_21 PM.png

    2.New Options menu 3. Shadow has been added (Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles, only existed before)

    4. 2 new levels in the game! (The second one only yesterday got it to load and work)

    Having lots of fun finding the very many bugs in S1C. I ported over Sonic 2's Sonic sprites because of palette issues with Sonic 1's Sonic sprites and Tails' palette. I've also began porting over Tails' tails. I also need to start working on the other levels, a reworked arena select, and the Grand Prix mode.

    How did you port Tails's Tails? In S1OnBHI I Cant add it since it requires the DMA Queue and its not ported in S1OnBHI.

    The DMA queue can easily be taken from Part 3 of the Spindash tutorial on Sonic Retro's wiki page, OR you can port it from Sonic 2 (which I'll assume is an absolute nightmare). Tails' tails are also directly ported over from Sonic 2 to an unused object slot ID in Sonic 1.

    We start good because the Title screen is FIXED!

    I don't have anything for April Fools yesterday (because real-life), but here's what I've been doing lately in my spare time:

    Yeah, this is what I was able to due while playing around with the source code to Sonic ERaZor 8, by taking another character* and placing them in it. I did this just for the fun of it; I've been doing this since the source code was released back in 2023.

    And before you ask, no, I am not releasing this to the public. And don't ask me why.

    (also sorry selbi (and anyone involved wtih ERaZor) for doing this)
